Explore the wonderful medium of Pastel! Paint alongside an experienced instructor who can guide you through the process of creating beautiful pastel paintings. Are you tired of being a slave to your photo reference? Do you want to loosen up and respond creatively in your painting? Have you wondered how to design your painting with a winning composition? In this class you will paint a series of small studies designed to take you to the next level in your art. All levels welcome.

Ongoing one day Studio Mentoring sessions throughout the 2013 summer. Bring your paintings for critique and ongoing painting sessions from 9:00-3:30pm in the Artist's Mountaintop Studio. First two scheduled sessions July 12th and August 30th. Minimum of 3 students, maximum of 8 students. Informal sessions designed to mentor your progress in a small group setting among fellow artists. |

Landscape Painting in Pastel with Janis Ellison
Pastel Classes are now forming with Janis Ellison. Weekly classes designed to teach you simple techniques to create beautiful pastel paintings. Each week the curriculum is designed to focus on different elements of landscape painting and pastel technique. Learn from an accomplished artist and experienced teacher close to home without the cost of traveling to expensive workshops!

Janis Ellison (www.janisellison.com) is a Master Pastelist who has been a professional artist and teacher for 20 years. She is a signature member of Pastel Society of the West Coast, Pastel Society of Northwest, Sierra Pastel Society, Pastel Society of New Mexico, and a Master Pastelist in Pastel Society of Oregon. Galleries in Oregon and California represent her work. She has been published in Pastel International Magazine and has won numerous awards regionally and internationally. |
